Schloss Eggenberg

The heart of Schloss Eggenberg is located in a precious ensemble of historical interiors with an impressive cycle of over 500 ceiling paintings. In adition, Styria’s grandest palace to the west of Graz houses precious collections of the Universalmuseum Joanneum which invite visitors to go on extraordinary journeys through time: The Archaeology Museum takes us back to the very roots of our culture. The Coin Cabinet conveys a ‘striking’ history of Styria and the Alte Galerie presents masterpieces of art from the Middle Ages to the Age of the Enlightenment.
