Austrian Leading Sights organized a workshop on the topic of “Gastronomy” at Vienna Airport on Thursday, September 14. The event brought together experts from the catering industry, as well as representatives from Austria’s leading sights, to share experiences and best practices.

The workshop provided a platform for intensive discussions and exchange of ideas on the future of gastronomy in Austria’s leading sights. The central topics of the workshop included the advantages and disadvantages of self-operation and leasing, the challenges of partnering with catering partners, and best practices for enhancing the quality and profitability of gastronomic offerings in the sights. Here, the topic was not only examined from the sights’ perspective, but also addressed by the association’s tenants and gastronomy partners, such as RedBull, Metro and Henkell Freixenet.

Gastronomy remains crucial to the visitor experience

Klaus Panholzer, President of Austrian Leading Sights, emphasized the importance of the workshop: “Gastronomy is a crucial part of our offering. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to work with experts and partners to find sustainable solutions and optimize our gastronomic offerings.”

The opportunity of a joint exchange promotes cooperation between operators of attractions and gastronomy partners, thus strengthening the link between the two sectors. This functioning partnership is essential to improve the gastronomic offer and consequently to offer visitors an unforgettable experience in the Austrian sights.
