For the first time in three years, representatives of international tourism are coming together again at the largest travel trade show, ITB Berlin. This year, Austrian Leading Sights are present at the tourism fair in Berlin for the first time.

From Tuesday 07 to Thursday 09 March, 12 of the 43 member companies will represent the Association of Austrian Leading Sights. “We are very pleased with the positive response of our members regarding participation in the fair” reports Patrick Quatember, managing director of the association. “The initially planned booth had to be enlarged after a short time to accommodate all participating businesses.”

Klaus Panholzer, president of the association, sees in the first trade fair appearance of Austrian Leading Sights above all the international networking and presentation as the goal . “Our priority is to create awareness of the importance of sights in the decision to spend a vacation in Austria. We also want to use the exchange with international tour operators and representatives of the tourism press,” said the president of the association. He sees this year’s change of ITB to a pure B2B trade show as unproblematic. “This format corresponds to our ideas as an exchange platform for our representation of interests,” explains the president of the association.

The companies participating in the tourism fair are Großglockner High Alpine Road with Krimml Waterfalls and Nationalpark Hohe Tauern, Haus des Meeres, Imperial Austria with Schönbrunn Group and Schönbrunn Zoo, Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen, Kunsthaus Wien, Salzburger Burgen und Schlösser, Salzwelten, Esterhazy Palace, Schloss Schönbrunn Konzerte, Sound of Vienna, Melk Abby, Swarovski Kristallwelten, Universalmuseum Joanneum with Schloss Eggenberg and Vienna Sightseeing Tours.Special thanks also go to the companies Henkell with the Hofburgsekt, the travel platform GetYourGuide and the tourism school Wassermanngasse for their support and cooperation.
