To mark the dress rehearsal of the Summer Night Concert at Schönbrunn, Austrian Leading Sights, together with ETOA (European Tourism Association), invited guests to a tourism networking event. Accompanied by the sounds of the Vienna Philharmonic, around 120 representatives from leading attractions as well as the tourism and leisure industry came together to exchange ideas and round off the evening in the Schönbrunn Palace Park. “With 120 guests, this is the largest networking event we’ve held for this occasion to date – a clear sign of how strong the interest in mutual exchange is within our industry,” said Patrick Quatember, Managing Director of Austrian Leading Sights, welcoming the guests.
The cooperation between Austrian Leading Sights and ETOA reflects an approach shared by both organizations: tourism only works as a joint effort. “Tourism is a team achievement – and ETOA is a partner that embodies this idea at the European level,” said Klaus Panholzer, President of Austrian Leading Sights. “Evenings like this show how much can be achieved when people from different fields come together – and that is exactly what Austrian Leading Sights stands for.” Jay Munro-Michell, Head of Buyer Network & Senior Manager Central Europe at ETOA, shares this view: “ETOA works across borders – and that’s precisely why strong regional partners like Austrian Leading Sights are so valuable to us. Real progress can only be made together.”
Guests included: Ulrike Rauch-Keschmann (Head of Section, BMWET), Manfred Katzenschlager (Managing Director of the Federal Division for Tourism and Leisure Industry, WKO), Heike Fischer (Managing Director, Kulturformat), Alexandra Kaszay (Managing Director, Spanish Riding School) and Lisa Frühbauer (Managing Director, Vienna Sightseeing Tours).
