Austrian Leading Sights is presenting itself for the first time with its own stand at ITB Shanghai. In cooperation with the Austrian National Tourist Office and Lufthansa Group/Austrian, 10 of Austria’s top attractions are showcasing the country’s tourism diversity and quality to the Chinese market at one of Asia’s most important international tourism trade fairs.

At the opening of the fair, Austrian Leading Sights, together with Lufthansa Group, is hosting an exclusive “Media Afternoon Tea,” giving more than 20 Chinese media representatives the opportunity to discover Austria’s leading attractions and cultural highlights. The aim is to further increase Austria’s visibility as an attractive cultural and travel destination in China and to establish new partnerships with media and tourism partners.

“Our presence at ITB Shanghai is an important step in specifically addressing the Chinese market and further strengthening international awareness of Austria and, in particular, of Austria’s leading attractions,” says Klaus Panholzer, President of Austrian Leading Sights.

ITB Shanghai is regarded as a central platform for tourism exchange between international destinations and the Chinese travel market, with more than 900 exhibitors from 85 countries and around 1,700 trade visitors. Through this joint appearance, Austrian Leading Sights underscores the growing importance of international cooperation for Austrian tourism.
