Austrian Leading Sights Looks Back on an Outstanding ITB 2025

ITB Berlin, one of the world’s largest tourism trade fairs, once again provided a significant platform for international exchange this year. From March 4 to 6, Austrian Leading Sights, together with 23 members and partners, showcased Austria’s outstanding attractions to an international audience at the Austrian National Tourist Office’s exhibition stand. Numerous discussions with tour operators, media representatives, as well as students from tourism and hospitality management, clearly demonstrated that interest in Austria’s cultural highlights remains strong.

A special highlight was the opening press conference, where Klaus Panholzer, President of Austrian Leading Sights and Managing Director of the Schönbrunn Group, joined Tourism State Secretary Elisabeth Zehetner, Astrid Steharnig-Staudinger, CEO of the Austrian National Tourist Office, and Michael Feiertag, CEO of STG, to discuss key developments in the tourism sector.
The Managing Director of Austrian Leading Sights took the opportunity to announce groundbreaking plans for the upcoming year, including an increased market focus on China, a new image campaign, and the planned introduction of a nationwide ticket for cultural and excursion destinations in Austria. “ITB 2025 has once again proven the importance of personal exchange on an international level,” said Klaus Panholzer. “The overwhelmingly positive feedback confirms that our strategic initiatives—from intensifying market efforts in China to launching a nationwide cultural ticket—are met with great interest. Austrian Leading Sights continues to be recognized as a flagship for exceptional travel experiences in Austria.”

A heartfelt thank you goes to the Austrian National Tourist Office, as well as all members and partners, for making this successful trade fair appearance possible.
